St. George, UT

William (Bill) Eugene Brooks, 73 passed away on Saturday April 19th . He was born July 13, 1951, in Pueblo, Colorado to William Earl Brooks and Naomi (Carter) Brooks. He married the love of his life, Brenda (Osborne) Brooks on October 29th , 1972, in Golden, Colorado.

Bill graduated with a degree in metallurgical engineering from Colorado School of Mines in 1973. He was well accomplished in the mining industry. His career took him to many places throughout his life. He and Brenda lived in Colorado, Arizona, Nevada,California, Virginia, Texas, Utah, Canada, Panama, Jamaica, South Africa and Australia. In addition to living in many locations, they traveled extensively all over the world.

Bill enjoyed golf, fishing, camping, hiking, riding his bike, listening to music and many other activities. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his wife and family. He loved his dog, Buddy. Bill was a very happy easy-going guy. As a result, people enjoyed being around him. He created many friendships all over the world. Bill lived his life with the highest level of integrity and values.

Bill regularly played Dixie Red Hills on Sundays with a small group of No Stress Golf members.  His stamina only allowed him to comfortably play nine holes, but he did enjoy those nine holes - except when he miss hit a shot which was followed immediately by "Oh, Willy!"

Bill's last round of golf was March 30, 2025.  He was admitted to the hospital on April 6th with a pulmonary infection from which he never recovered.

We all enjoyed Bill's company, he was always interested in our well being and he was always a gentleman on the course.  Bill, we'll miss you.
